Our company serves almost all of New Jersey. In New Jersey there are 9 multiple listing services (MLS), we belong to almost all of them.
There are 9 Multiple listing services in New Jersey. The MLS is a large national database that houses property listings. Each MLS has its own listings for specific counties. Agents pay dues for access to each MLS, this is why agents who want a broader reach for their clients may become a member of more than one MLS. Sellers CANNOT post their properties directly to the MLS because access to this database is limited to licensed agents.
A seller can not list by owner on MLS in NJ. Only a license realtor can list on MLS if they are a member of the local MLS. Our flat fee MLS listing plan is a service offered by a state licensed real estate agent. The real estate agent will work with you to set up an “entry only” service on the local MLS and the seller will retain the right to sell to buyers directly.
There is not a national MLS. A property should be listed in the correct local MLS, not just any MLS.
